FG, States, LGs Share ₦1.93 Trillion November Revenue

The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has shared a total of ₦1.928 trillion as revenue generated in November 2025 among the federal, state, and local governments.

According to a communiqué issued after the FAAC meeting held in Abuja on Monday, the federal government received ₦747.159 billion, while state governments got ₦601.731 billion. Local government councils received ₦445.266 billion, with an additional ₦134.355 billion disbursed to oil-producing states as 13 per cent derivation revenue.

The Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation said the distributable revenue for the month was drawn from ₦1.403 trillion in statutory revenue, ₦485.838 billion from value-added tax (VAT), and ₦39.646 billion from the Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL).

Statutory, VAT revenues drop compared to October

The communiqué disclosed that gross revenue of ₦2.343 trillion was available in November before deductions. From this amount, ₦84.251 billion was deducted as cost of collection, while ₦330.625 billion went to transfers, interventions, refunds, and savings.

Statutory revenue collections declined during the month, with ₦1.736 trillion generated in November, down from ₦2.164 trillion recorded in October, a drop of ₦427.969 billion. VAT revenue also fell, as ₦563.042 billion was recorded in November, compared with ₦719.827 billion in the previous month.

From the statutory revenue component, the federal government received ₦668.336 billion, states got ₦338.989 billion, and local governments received ₦261.346 billion, alongside derivation revenue for eligible states.

VAT proceeds were shared with ₦72.876 billion allocated to the federal government, ₦242.919 billion to states, and ₦170.043 billion to local governments. EMTL distribution saw the federal government receive ₦5.947 billion, states ₦19.823 billion, and local governments ₦13.876 billion.

The FAAC noted that while excise duty increased moderately in November, major revenue lines, including petroleum profit tax, hydrocarbon tax, company income tax, oil and gas royalties, import duty, VAT, and EMTL, recorded significant declines during the month.
