It has been gathered that martial arts megastar Donnie Yen, better known for his roles in Nigeria by many for his blockbuster franchise movie Ip Man has will star in John Wick 4 alongside Keanu Reeves.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Yen will play the old friend of Keanu Reeves super-assassin, who shares a history and many of the same enemies with Wick.
Will Reeves and Yen get a chance to go toe-to-toe in a fight scene? Well that we don’t know yet but here is what the director Chad Stahelski have got to say
“We are very lucky to have Donnie Yen join the franchise, I am looking forward to working with him in this exciting new role.”
If you have seen the Ip Man series you will agree with us that Donnie Yen is not just a martial art artist but a legend who has been a superstar in Asia for a long time for his roles in the blockbuster Ip Man movie franchise where played the real-life grandmaster.
Aside from being a tv martial art master, he is skilled and proficient in numerous techniques including Sushi, Judo, and Wing Chun among others.
Entertainment Weekly also confirmed John Wick 4 is slated to hit the screen on May 27, 2022, as casting progresses with Yen.
