The album, featuring collaborations with Victoria Monét and Kizz Daniel, has captivated British audiences, cementing Davido’s global dominance. Released via Sony Music, 5ive blends Afrobeats, R&B, and pop, with its lead single, Offa Me, dominating airwaves. This achievement marks Davido’s first UK chart-topper, a feat celebrated across X as a “win for Africa.”
The 14-track album, recorded between Lagos and Atlanta, explores themes of love, resilience, and legacy, with standout tracks like Funds and Awuke trending globally. Reports are that 5ive amassed over 10 million UK streams in its first week, outpacing competitors like Burna Boy’s No Sign of Weakness.
