"Dating a man was the worst decision of my life," Denrele Edun told Chude Jideonwo

Nigerian TV Personality, Adenrele Edun who turned 40 on June 13 2021, has revealed dating a man is the worst decision he ever made in his life.

Speaking in an interview with Chude Jideonwo Denrele shares his toxic relationship experience of dating a man.

He said: ‘‘I have not been in too many relationships which is why I am always very skeptical about getting into them. So one day I said to myself, maybe the girls do not have anything to offer me and then I had quite a bit of male attention, so I said let me just give somebody a chance. That was the worse decision of my life.

“From then on, I have said I am my own sugardaddy. I have a strong masculine side designed to take care of my feminine side because the person I decided to experiment with was the most draining thing I had ever done in my life and I am never going to be caught in that sought of situation.

“I met the most disrespectful, most disregarding, the temper I had not seen. I tried to quell it. I said Okay so God, maybe you sent this man into my life because you wanted me to change this person, maybe you wanted me to fix it” he said.

He, however, disclosed he somehow got his reality check and got out of the relationship after months of people telling him it was toxic for him.

About turning 40

Denrele said he is not scared or sad because he believes it is a privilege.

“The real reason 40 doesn’t scare me or sadden me is that I AM so keenly aware of what a privilege it is to get to here.

“The life I have chosen is not an easy one. In fact, this past year has been a B*tch but I AM still thankful to be here, thankful that I get the chance to live long enough that my wisdom is beginning to become more useful, thankful that I get the opportunity to do better, to grow and learn, Unlearn and Relearn!”
