CNN news reporter, Sara Sidner break down on live camera on Monday while reporting COVID 19 worsening crisis in Los Angeles, California, USA.
She was not in tears because she or any of family member contacted the novel virus but was moved by the worsening state of the Hospitals she visited and a number of parking lot funeral she saw.
According to Perez Hilton blog, Sara attempted to deliver the latest update, saying she’d been to 10 hospitals, she choked up. She tried a couple more times to get out her message, but she ultimately broke down into tears.
The anchor Alisyn Camerota compassionately took over from Sidner thanking her for her service and drew viewers attention to Sidner, 48, performances in 2020, her courageous report on George Floyd’s death and many other social injustices, the Pandemic and others.
However, Sara summon the courage to give the important report about Los Angeles COVID terrible situation she said
“These families should not be going through this. No family should be going through this. Do whatever you can to keep this from killing your family members and your neighbours and your friends and your teachers and doctors and firefighters. All of these people are here to help you, but you have to do your part.”
It might seem unprofessional to you but Sara Sidner emotional display on live camera while attempting to report Los Angeles devastating COVID situation gives some sort of reality to the story. As many in Africa especially in Nigeria still do not believe COVID exist despite all the broadcast about it.
Meanwhile, Sara took her Twitter afterwards to share the message she tweeted
“I’m still not okay after seeing the heartbreak in the City of Angels because of #coronavirus. I know that being there to see the destruction it’s doing to families is small in comparison to the pain the families feel.”
