The Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, has raised concerns over the increasing risks of cyber attacks targeting the judiciary.

Speaking at the Court of Appeal’s Annual Justices Conference, Justice Kekere-Ekun emphasized the need for judicial officers to be vigilant and proactive in safeguarding sensitive information. She highlighted that the digitalization of court processes, while enhancing efficiency, also exposes the judicial system to potential cyber threats.

The CJN urged judges and court officials to undergo regular training on cybersecurity measures and to adopt best practices in protecting the integrity of judicial data. She also called for the implementation of robust cybersecurity frameworks within the judiciary to mitigate potential breaches and ensure the continued trust of the public in the judicial system.
