Fuji music icon King Saheed Osupa has expressed heartfelt appreciation after Grammy-winning star Burna Boy publicly named him his “Greatest of All Time” singer.
Burna Boy made the revelation while appearing on Complex’s The Goat Talk alongside tennis legend Roger Federer, where he listed Osupa as his top singer of all time.
“My GOAT singers are mostly like Fuji artists. Like Saheed Osupa,” Burna Boy said during the interview.

Reacting on social media, Osupa described Burna Boy’s recognition as a “monumental moment” for Fuji music and a tribute that uplifts his decades-long career.
“Burna Boy’s heartfelt tribute, naming me as his GOAT singer on a global stage, is a monumental moment that celebrates the soul of Fuji music and its timeless influence,” Osupa wrote.
“This honour not only uplifts my journey but also shines a brilliant light on our rich cultural heritage, bridging generations and genres worldwide.”
The Fuji maestro also revealed that he is a huge fan of the Afro-fusion star and hopes to attend one of Burna Boy’s upcoming concerts.
“I am profoundly grateful for this powerful acknowledgment from a true Afropop titan, the African Giant himself, of whom I am also a great fan. Together, we are redefining African music legacy and inspiring the world with authentic, vibrant sounds,” he added.
This is not the first time Burna Boy has professed admiration for Fuji music. In 2023, during an Instagram Live session, he referred to Saheed Osupa as “Ibile Wutang”, a nod to his lyrical prowess.
At his 34th birthday celebration in July 2025, Burna Boy’s mother and manager, Bose Ogulu, even surprised him with a live performance by Fuji icon Adewale Ayuba, cementing his deep connection to the genre.
