Big Brother Naija season 6 is set to take over your screen.

The organisers of the popular Nigerian reality TV, Big Brother Naija has announced the official date to commence season 6 of the show.
BBNaija has fondly called by the reality tv show fans is set to commence on July 24th and will end on October 3rd.

According to the Chief Executive Officer of Multichoice, the organisers of the show, John Ugbe, announced that the #BBNaija housemates for season 6 will be unveiled on July 24th and 25th, when the TV reality show kicks off by 7:00 PM WAT.
Mr Ugbe made this known during a press briefing held in Ikeja on Monday.
He also added that the theme for season 6 of the show will be revealed on Sunday, July 24th.

For this year edition, the headline sponsors of the TV reality show is Abeg, a tech company while the associate sponsor is Patricia.

Mr Ugbe said BBNaija Season 6 housemates were selected through an online audition with over 40,000 entries received this year.

The new housemates are currently being quarantined ahead of the show.
The selected housemates will have no contact with outsiders until the show is over.

The organisers of the show revealed that the show will be competitive, while they promised that the audience of the show will be entertained.


Big Brother Naija season 6 will be showing live for 24 hours throughout the 72 days on DStv channel 198 and GOtv Max and Jolli packages on channel 29.
It will also be aired on Africa Magic Showcase, Africa Magic Urban and Africa Magic Family.

The online version will be showing live for 24 hours on Showmax and will be made available for all audiences including those in the diaspora.

The organisers said DStv and Got subscribers, as well as the online audience, will enjoy free online voting, adding that the SMS voting has been scrapped for the new season.


The Big Brother Naija reality TV show is the biggest reality TV show in Africa.
It has produced some of the continent’s biggest stars in the entertainment industry.

This season’s winner will be awarded a N30 million cash prize and will receive other prizes totalling N90 million.
Last year, Olamilekan Agbeleshe, popularly called Laycon won the Big Brother Naija Lockdown edition.
