Report has it that the former Nigerian Army Major turned Emir of Kuara Nomada, HRH Sanusi Muhammad Asha’s convoy was attacked by bandits along Zaria-Funtua Road, leaving three policemen dead and five others.
According to ReunbenAbati.com, the Emir was attacked on his way back from Abuja on Thursday night when the monarch was attacked by the bandits as told by a relative of the Emir to Channels television.
ReubenAbati also gathered that the Zamfara State Commisioner of Police, Usman Nagogo also confirmed the incident, however, decided to comment further about the attack.
A Hilux in the Emir’s convoy was brutally attacked and the driver was killed with three policemen, a senior guard to the king and one Dan Amal, who is the uncle to the Emir.
Surprisingly, the incident happened on the same day that the abducted schoolboys from Kankara regained their freedom.
According to Nigerian Tribune, the Kaura Namoda Emirate Council was making arrangements to convey the bodies of those killed for burial later today.
