Atalanta Set £51m Price Tag on Lookman

 Atalanta have slapped a £51 million valuation on Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman, signaling their intent to fend off interest from Premier League giants as the 2025 transfer window looms, according to reports on April 22, 2025. 

The 27-year-old Super Eagles star, who won the 2024 Ballon d’Or Africa and finished 14th in the global Ballon d’Or rankings, has become one of Serie A’s most coveted talents, prompting the Bergamo club to demand a premium for their talisman.

Lookman’s stellar 2024/2025 season, with 12 goals and six assists in 20 Serie A matches, has attracted attention from Arsenal, Liverpool, and Tottenham, all seeking to bolster their attacking ranks. His hat-trick in Atalanta’s 2024 Europa League final triumph over Bayer Leverkusen cemented his status as a clutch performer, while his versatility as a winger or No. 10 adds to his appeal. Atalanta, aware of his contract running until 2026, are in a strong negotiating position, with manager Gian Piero Gasperini calling him “irreplaceable.”
