Arsenal Secure Deal to Sign Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace

 Arsenal Football Club has finalized an agreement to bring Crystal Palace’s dynamic midfielder Eberechi Eze to the Emirates, outmaneuvering rivals Tottenham Hotspur in a significant transfer coup. 

The deal, confirmed on August 20, 2025, was spurred by concerns over a knee injury to Arsenal’s Kai Havertz, prompting manager Mikel Arteta to strengthen the squad’s attacking flair. Eze, a 27-year-old England international, returns to Arsenal, where he trained as a youth before his release at age 13.

Negotiated by sporting director Andrea Berta, the transfer allows Eze to feature in Palace’s UEFA Conference League play-off against Fredrikstad before undergoing a medical in London. Known for his versatility as an attacking midfielder or left winger, Eze offers a creative spark, complementing players like Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli. His pivotal role in Palace’s FA Cup final victory last season, marked by a decisive goal, elevated his status as a Premier League standout. The move, Arsenal’s seventh signing this summer, follows additions like striker Viktor Gyokeres and goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Tottenham, confident of securing Eze earlier, now faces a setback under manager Thomas Frank.
