It is no news to Nigerians on Twitter that northerners are always attacking Aisha Yesufu over matters arising around the country involving the north and other parts of the country but this time she fires back without a full stop.
On January 11 Aisha Yesufu posted some series of tweets about the queer community and their existence in the northern part of Nigeria in the ’80s.
According to Aisha Yesufu, LGBTQ was practised publicly in northern Nigeria without any government interference.
“When homosexuality was criminalised in the Western countries that today are ramming LGBTQ down people’s throat it was practised openly in the Northern part of Nigeria. As a 10-year-old in the early 80s, I watched same-sex marriages. Nobody rammed it down their throat”
She further states that homosexuality is increasing because of child molestation
The increase in homosexuality is not due to LGBTQ influence from the West. It is the sexual molestation of boys & girls which makes them become homosexuals and they go on to molest others and the vicious cycle continues. So when you hear #ArewaMeToo know it is a fight against all
However, she did agree that homosexual is a sin in Islam.
Islam is categorical in its stance on homosexuality. It is a sin! There are no two ways about it. It is a sin against God and not a sin against me. The punishment in my ignorant reading (i know nothing just what i read) is God flips the land such happens. When God wants it is!
She also sticks it to the northerners, says they are not righteous when it comes to homosexuality.
As for the righteously indignant Northerners all on the LGBTQ case as if the West imported it to them just stop the hypocrisy! They have always been with you. They are the yan daudu’s and yan kwakule. Stop being sanctimonious
These and more tweets landed Aisha Yesufu in a hot soup of the LGBTQ community and Arewa Twitter and they dragged her like never before.
It appears today is Aisha Yesufu’s day as she fires back at Arewa Twitter without mercy with #BambialaMentality.
She started with a northern influencer who called out Aisha Yesufu as a hypocrite for saying nothing about Fulanis whom he claimed are being sent how of their base in Ebonyi state. A claim which was later debunked by Ebonyi state police command as false.
Hello @AishaYesufu, are you aware of the happenings in Ebonyi state where Fulani’s are sent packing out of their homes? You haven’t sent out any words condemning the acts yet like you’ll do if it’s IGBOS that are been sent packing out of their homes in the north.
Then she Aisha Yesufu brought out her bazooka and fired back at Arew Twitter none stop
