As excitement builds ahead of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, football fans planning to attend matches have been warned to take note of new stadium entry rules released by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

The tournament, which kicks off on December 21, will be played across multiple venues in Morocco, with CAF saying the restrictions are part of broader efforts to ensure safety, order and smooth match-day operations throughout the competition.

CAF said all spectators will undergo security screening at stadium entry points and advised fans to avoid bringing restricted items to prevent delays, confiscation, or denial of access on match days.

Security checks, crowd control shape CAF’s decision

According to guidelines published on CAF’s official website on Monday, the restrictions are designed to reduce security risks, control crowd movement and maintain a family-friendly environment inside AFCON venues.
