AC Milan Confirm Modric Arrival

 AC Milan officially confirmed the signing of Croatian midfield maestro Luka Modric on July 14, 2025, marking a significant coup for the Serie A club. 

The 39-year-old, who turns 40 on September 9, joins on a one-year contract after announcing his departure from Real Madrid, where he played since 2012 following a £30 million transfer from Tottenham Hotspur. Linked with a move to Italy since early June, Modric’s arrival, pending medicals, adds experience to a squad aiming to challenge Inter Milan, with his 2024-25 stats showing 5 goals and 10 assists in 42 games.

Modric, a 2018 Ballon d’Or winner with 12 La Liga titles and 5 Champions League trophies, expressed excitement about “a new challenge,” while coach Paulo Fonseca hailed his leadership.
