A Muslim group in Nasarawa State visit Church to celebrate Christmas day with Christians.

The news report has it that an Islamic Movement in Nasarawa State in the Northern part of Nigeria, visited a church to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ with the Christians in the zone.

According to LIB, it was gathered that the Islamic group known as Shia visited a Church in Lafia, in Nasarawa State on the Christmas day to show their solitary with the Christians. 

The church attended was the Evangelical Reformed Church of Christ (ERCC), Graceland Lafia in Nasarawa state.

According to the Islamic group leader, Mallam Muhammad Amin, the visitation was to join the church in prayer for the healing of the country and Nasarawa state and also to rejoice with Christians on the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.

According to LIB, Mallam Amin also noted that the birth of Jesus Christ was significant to mankind hence the need for them to rejoice together as written in the Holy two books. The Islamic leader also added that the two major religions believe that Jesus Christ is the true Messiah.

In his words:

“We are today worshipping here with our Christians brothers and sister to Strengthens the bond of unity, oneness and to pray for the healing and forgiveness of our country and Nasarawa in particular.”

A member of the Islamic group, Mallama Zainab Mohammed emphasised that there is no discrimination in worshipping God hence the need for people to tolerate one another irrespective of their belief.
