A Ghanaian on Twitter said featuring too many U.S and U.K music artists will not make qualify you for the Grammys but will turn you to Davido.
The rivalry between Nigerians and Ghanaians on Twitter has been rekindled by the victory of Wizkid and Burna Boy at the just concluded 63rd Grammy Awards.
Ghanaians airing their dissatisfaction about Ghana music industry envy Nigerians as they believe Nigeria’s accomplishment at the 2021 Recording Academy Awards proves Nigerian artists superiority to Ghanaians.
A Ghanian social media influencer with the handle @Opresii, in a tweet advice Ghanian artists to invest in their future by featuring music artists from the U.S and U.K.
The tweet reads: “Sarkodie and Stonebwoy should stop being too local and invest to feature more of these US and UK acts like Naija acts have been doing to expand their boundaries… They’re the only 2 GH artists who have a bigger chance of winning the Grammy but they’re being too Stingy to invest.????”
In response to the tweet another Ghanaian with the handle @OneReal_Tink tweeted “They don’t need to invest in features from the US or the UK they just need to better the sound and vibe of their songs and the features would start coming with the right advertisement… If you go about featuring plenty US UK people instead of the other way round you go turn davido.”
in reaction to the above-mentioned, famous Ghanaian artist Shata Wale on Monday said on the bird app
“Enough is enough of Ghanaians insulting Ghana artistes ..if you feel we don’t sing well go and stay in nigeria so they can sing for you .. at least that will buy you a dream house kwasiaaaaafuorrrr???????? especially entertainment programs ????????????????” March 15, 2021
