Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central, has announced her intention to present evidence supporting her allegations of sexual harassment against Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

During an appearance on Channels TV’s Politics Today on April 3, 2025, Akpoti-Uduaghan stated, "At the right time and in the right place, I will present the evidence that I have.

This development follows her suspension from the Senate for six months after making these allegations. In a sworn affidavit, she accused Akpabio of sexual harassment, abuse of office, and obstruction of legislative duties. She quoted Akpabio as saying, "Natasha, I am the Chief Presiding Officer of the Senate, and you can enjoy a whole lot from me if you take care of me and make me happy."

The Senate's decision to suspend Akpoti-Uduaghan has sparked widespread debate, highlighting issues of gender dynamics and women's rights within Nigeria's political landscape. Supporters have rallied behind her, adopting the slogan, "We are all Natasha," to express solidarity.
