Sholawest candidly describes being inspired by “dark moments… the ups and downs,” a time during which he pursued a course in Management in Fashion and Luxury Brands. That academic journey unlocked a long-standing vision from 2017: to build something that blends minimalism with meaning, something “hidden but loud.” And with TE, he delivers exactly that.

“I’ve always loved sketching designs from my head,” he says. “Every sketch or detail on the fabric has its meaning.”

The Hero Piece: The Jersey

While each piece in the TE collection holds a special place in Sholawest’s heart, the jersey takes centre stage. Not only is it the highlight of the launch, but it's also a canvas for deeper storytelling. Produced as a limited edition, this jersey isn't just about aesthetics—it’s about exclusivity and visibility, a calculated push to position DgeniuzSW in a league of its own.

As authentic as the designs are, so too are the challenges that brought them to life. From battling printers who distorted design shades and sizing, to the unpredictable availability of fabrics, the road wasn’t smooth, but Sholawest remained undeterred.

“In this line of work,” he shares, “when you get a type of fabric today, tomorrow there’s a tendency you won’t find it again.” What kept him going? A quiet mantra: “If you fear, you sink.” And then, the affirmation: “Nothing shakes me.”

The DgeniuzSW Ethos 

At its core, DgeniuzSW is about QCC—Quality, Comfort, and Confidence. It’s a promise to the wearer and a challenge to the industry. With plans to release new collections every four months and an ambition to become a household name, the brand is scaling quickly from concept to community.

Speaking on the brand’s ambition and vision for the future, Sholawest disclosed he envisions wardrobes across the continent filled with at least 50% DgeniuzSW pieces. Beyond fashion, he is committed to deepening his education in fashion design and business, bringing structure, sustainability, and strategy to his creative fire.
