Nigerian street-hop artist, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has expressed his views on visa approvals, stating that speaking fluent English does not automatically qualify an individual for a visa.

In a recent social media video, the controversial singer argued that many people who are proficient in English still get denied visas, while others with limited English-speaking skills successfully travel abroad. He emphasized that factors such as financial stability, the purpose of travel, and proper documentation hold more weight in visa applications than linguistic ability.

Portable, known for his candid and often unfiltered opinions, used his personal experiences to illustrate his point, noting that despite his unconventional speech, he has been able to travel internationally for performances.

His comments sparked mixed reactions from fans, with some agreeing with his perspective, while others felt language proficiency remains an essential factor in certain cases.
