Manchester United's head coach, Ruben Amorim, has expressed a strong desire to expedite the team's improvement process as they navigate a particularly challenging season.
Currently positioned 13th in the Premier League, United has accumulated only 22 points from Amorim's initial 19 matches in charge. Despite the club's ambitious "Mission 21" initiative, aiming for a league title by 2028 to coincide with its 150th anniversary, Amorim acknowledges that immediate contention is unrealistic.
He stated, "It would be crazy to think we can win the league next season," underscoring the necessity for strategic squad enhancements and structural adjustments. Amorim also highlighted the modern pressures of football management, noting that unlike Sir Alex Ferguson's era, contemporary managers are afforded less time to implement their vision.
Looking ahead to the Manchester derby, Amorim remains focused on achieving incremental progress and strengthening the team's competitive edge.
