He earned a first-class degree in Mathematics from the University of St Andrews in Scotland and later obtained a doctorate in the same field. His passion for education led him to serve as a lecturer at the University of Ibadan before venturing into politics.
During his brief tenure as governor, Dr. Olunloyo focused on infrastructural development and educational reforms. Although his time in office was cut short by the military coup of December 1983, his contributions to the state's development left an indelible mark.
