Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Nigeria’s First Lady, has revealed that her humanitarian project, the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), has received donations amounting to N9.4 billion from various corporate and private benefactors.

This substantial funding is intended to support various welfare programs focused on vulnerable populations, particularly women, children, and the elderly.

Speaking at a recent event, Mrs. Tinubu reiterated that the initiative operates independently of government funding, relying solely on voluntary contributions from philanthropic individuals and organizations. Since its launch, RHI has undertaken numerous social interventions, including scholarships for underprivileged students, financial support for small-scale entrepreneurs, and medical outreach programs.

One of its latest projects includes a N1 billion donation toward landscaping and renovation efforts at Obafemi Awolowo University. The First Lady emphasized that such contributions are part of a broader strategy to foster development across different sectors, including education, healthcare, and community empowerment.

Mrs. Tinubu reassured Nigerians that all donations are being transparently managed and will be directed towards impactful, long-term initiatives that align with the country’s broader social development goals.
