In preparation for the forthcoming Eid-el-Fitr celebrations, various security agencies across Nigeria have announced the deployment of personnel to maintain peace and order during the festivities.
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has assured residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) of their safety by deploying 4,000 personnel to strategic locations, including prayer grounds, recreational centers, and other public areas. This measure aims to prevent any security breaches and ensure a serene environment for worshippers and celebrants.
Similarly, in Kano State, the NSCDC has mobilized tactical operatives to cover all 44 local government areas, focusing on Eid prayer grounds and recreational venues. The agency's emergency response unit and medical teams are also on standby to provide disaster management and response services during the celebrations.
These proactive measures by security agencies are part of a coordinated effort to safeguard lives and property during the Eid-el-Fitr period, reflecting the government's commitment to ensuring that citizens can observe the festivities without fear or disruption.
