Popular Nigerian comedian and social activist Mr Macaroni has reaffirmed his commitment to speaking out against bad governance in Nigeria. The skit maker, known for his vocal stance on social justice, took to social media to address critics who expect celebrities to remain neutral on political matters.

“I will never stop speaking against bad governance,” he declared. “That is what I have always stood for, even before I became popular. I don’t expect every entertainer to do the same, but I refuse to be silent.”

Mr Macaroni also criticized the Nigerian people for not holding their leaders accountable, stating that the lack of civic engagement and demand for transparency fuels corruption and incompetence in governance.

His statement has received widespread reactions, with many praising him for his courage in using his platform to address political issues. Others, however, argue that entertainers should focus on their craft rather than activism.
