In a move to strengthen the agricultural sector and improve the economic conditions of small-scale farmers, the Kwara State Government has empowered 100 livestock farmers with essential resources to enhance goat farming.

The initiative, which aligns with the administration’s vision for agricultural development, provides beneficiaries with goats, financial support, and specialized training on modern livestock management practices.

Speaking at the launch of the program, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq reiterated his government’s commitment to expanding agricultural opportunities and ensuring food security in the state. He emphasized that the initiative is designed not only to improve farmers’ livelihoods but also to create employment opportunities and stimulate rural economies.

Agriculture remains a key sector in Kwara’s economic strategy, and this latest intervention underscores ongoing efforts to support farmers and promote sustainable farming practices. Beneficiaries of the program expressed gratitude, highlighting how the assistance would significantly impact their productivity and income levels. The government has assured that similar interventions will be extended to other agricultural sectors to drive further development.
