Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has reiterated the pivotal role of education in unlocking the potential of youths, fostering opportunities, and building a prosperous society. He made these remarks during the commissioning of new ultra-modern classroom blocks in several public schools across Lagos State.

The Lagos State Government, in collaboration with the Special Committee on the Rehabilitation of Public Schools (SCRPS), commissioned new classroom blocks at St. Luke Junior Grammar School in Bariga, Mainland Junior Secondary School in Fadeyi, and Euba Junior High School in Mushin. These projects are part of a broader initiative, with nine other schools across the state also receiving infrastructural upgrades.

Governor Sanwo-Olu emphasized that education remains the most powerful tool for unlocking the potential of youths. He noted that investing in quality education infrastructure is crucial for providing students with conducive learning environments, which in turn fosters academic excellence and personal development.

The governor highlighted that education and technology are key pillars of his administration's THEMES Plus Agenda. By ensuring that students in public schools have access to world-class learning environments, the government aims to drive economic growth, reduce inequality, and empower individuals to break the cycle of poverty.

Sanwo-Olu called on community leaders, parents, and teachers to support the government's educational initiatives by ensuring proper maintenance of the new facilities. He encouraged students to take full advantage of the upgraded learning environments to achieve academic excellence.

The state's investment in educational infrastructure has led to a significant increase in public school enrollment. Many parents are now opting to enroll their children in state-run schools, reflecting growing confidence in the quality of education provided by the government.

Governor Sanwo-Olu's commitment to enhancing educational facilities underscores the administration's dedication to empowering youths and fostering sustainable development in Lagos State. By prioritizing education, the government aims to equip the younger generation with the skills and knowledge necessary to contribute meaningfully to society.
