Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has issued a stern warning to contractors handling ongoing projects, emphasizing that any delays or deviations from agreed timelines and specifications will result in contract termination. During an inspection tour of several road and drainage projects, Governor Okpebholo expressed dissatisfaction with the slow pace of work observed in certain areas. He highlighted the importance of these projects in improving the state's infrastructure and the adverse impact that delays could have on the populace.
The governor's Chief Press Secretary, Fred Itua, conveyed Okpebholo's concerns in an official statement, reiterating the administration's zero-tolerance policy towards inefficiency and substandard work.
