Forbes has released its 2025 list of the world’s richest individuals, and several prominent Nigerian business moguls have secured positions among Africa’s wealthiest. Aliko Dangote, Abdulsamad Rabiu, Femi Otedola, and Mike Adenuga were featured on the prestigious list, reflecting their continued influence in the African business landscape.

Aliko Dangote, the President of Dangote Group, remains Africa’s richest man with an estimated net worth of $23.9 billion, a significant increase from $13.9 billion in 2024. His wealth surge is largely attributed to the successful operation of the Dangote Refinery, which has significantly impacted Nigeria's oil and gas sector.

Abdulsamad Rabiu, the chairman of BUA Group, also witnessed a rise in his net worth due to the rapid expansion of his cement and sugar businesses across Africa.

Femi Otedola, known for his interests in energy and finance, and Mike Adenuga, the owner of telecommunications giant Globacom, also maintained their spots on the billionaires' list, reinforcing Nigeria’s strong presence in the global business arena.

Forbes noted that Africa's billionaire class continues to expand despite economic uncertainties, with Nigerian entrepreneurs playing a key role in shaping industries such as manufacturing, telecommunications, and oil and gas.

This recognition further highlights the resilience of Nigeria’s private sector and its ability to drive economic growth and investment opportunities on the continent.
