The Akwa Ibom State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has issued a strong rebuttal to recent comments made by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar concerning Senator Godswill Akpabio. Atiku's remarks, perceived as critical of Akpabio's political influence and leadership style, have sparked controversy within the state's political landscape.

In a press statement, the Akwa Ibom APC described Atiku's comments as unfounded and an attempt to undermine the achievements of Senator Akpabio, who currently serves as the Senate President. The party highlighted Akpabio's contributions to the state's development during his tenure as governor and his ongoing efforts in the Senate to advance national interests.

The APC called on Atiku Abubakar to refrain from making statements that could sow discord and urged him to focus on constructive engagement that promotes unity and progress within the nation's political sphere.
