The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced the release of the 2024 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results for private candidates.
In a press briefing, WAEC's Head of National Office disclosed that out of the total candidates who sat for the examination, results of 2,577 candidates have been withheld due to alleged involvement in examination malpractice.The withheld results are currently under investigation, and decisions will be made based on the outcomes of these inquiries. Candidates affected by this action are advised to await further communication from WAEC regarding the status of their results.
For candidates seeking to access their results, WAEC has provided an online platform on its official website. Candidates are required to enter their unique examination numbers and PIN to view their performance. The council has also made provisions for candidates to collect their certificates from designated WAEC offices upon presentation of valid identification.
WAEC reiterated its commitment to upholding the integrity of its examinations and warned candidates against engaging in any form of malpractice. The council emphasized that strict measures are in place to detect and penalize any fraudulent activities to maintain the credibility of its certification.
