Controversial rapper Kanye West has publicly appealed to former U.S. President Donald Trump to release imprisoned music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs.

Kanye, who has been making a series of social media statements since the Grammys, took to X (formerly Twitter) to plead for Diddy’s freedom, writing, "@realDonaldTrump, please free my brother Puff."

In addition to his plea, Kanye announced plans for a collaboration between his Yeezy brand and Diddy’s Sean John fashion label. "I’m selling a Sean John collaboration that me and my brother spoke about before they locked him up. We’re splitting the profits 50/50," he revealed.

Diddy, through his Instagram account—reportedly managed by his family—expressed gratitude, sharing Kanye’s post along with the caption, "Thank you to my brother @Ye," and a link to the Yeezy website.

The music mogul has been in federal custody since September 2024, following his arrest by Homeland Security on charges including sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and interstate transportation for prostitution.

Currently detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, Diddy faces more than 30 civil lawsuits alleging sexual misconduct. While he has denied all allegations, entering a not-guilty plea, his bail requests have been denied twice.

In recent weeks, reports surfaced that Diddy was rushed to a Brooklyn hospital after suffering a knee injury. However, he was quickly returned to his detention facility after receiving treatment.

His trial is set to commence later this year, and the case continues to attract widespread attention.
